GREEN MAINTENANCE

FITOBENEFIT carries out green maintenance works with competence, consideration for the environment and in compliance with the laws about sites' safety measures (DL 494/96 and subsequent modifications).

1) Phytosanitary control. Low-toxicity chemical treatments against parasites and cryptogams in urban environment; also endotherapeutic treatments. Techniques of biological fight to control parasites by diffusing pathogens, predatory organisms and parasitoids, inert products like potassium soaps against aphides.
Amongst the works executed, it is worth mentioning the periodical weevil control (phytophagous insect) by inoculating entomoparasite nematode in the Vivaio Silvio Di Lorenzo & C in Pescara and an intervention in May - July 2002 for the Government of the Commune of Pescara, titled "Trattamenti Fitosanitari ed irrorazioni alle piante nei parchi, giardini, piazze e viali della città" ("Phytosanitary treatments and spraying to the plants in the parks, gardens, squares and streets of the city").

2) Pruning. Preferably carried out according to the criterion of the type of pruning called "heading back cut". Carried out both at ground level and at altitude with an elevating platform.
Felling of adult trees.
Among the works carried out, both ordinary pruning and urgent interventions on dangerous trees, particularly after the heavy snowfall in winter 2005. Among the customers, the Communal Government of Chieti.

3) Condominium green areas. FITOBENEFIT proposes the free draft of a yearly maintenance plan of condominium green areas. A regular intervention sequence according to a preset program avoids the expensive extraordinary maintenance works.
The correct planning implies:
- tree and shrub pruning / lopping of conifers / cutting of palm's dead leaves;
- lawn mowing / weeding and mowing with removal of waste and rubbish, if any, abandoned on the area / chemical weeding of paving blocks;
- fertilizing; supply and planting of new plants;
- any other business.
Debris collection and disposal of rubbish at an authorised tip included.
